Adnan Siddiqui is ‘deeply moved’ by love amid COVID battle, shares poem

Adnan Siddiqui is ‘deeply moved’ by the love his fans, followers, and friends have shown him since he announced his COVID diagnosis on Monday.

The Meray Paas Tum Ho star took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a special video of himself reciting a poem with an important message keeping the current fourth wave of COVID in mind. He also penned a heartfelt message for his followers.

“I am deeply moved by the enormous amount of love I have received since yesterday. When you have so many people sending their best, you count your blessings many times over,” he wrote.

The caption went with the poem Siddiqui decided to share: “Aadmi dur aadmi se rahey, taakey nazdeek zindagi se rahey. Ye kara waqt hai logon, thora sa fasla sab hi se rahey (Man should stay away from man, so that he can stay close to life. These are hard times people, keep a little distance from everyone.)”

He also shared how grateful he is to his “friends, relatives, fans, and everyone else who has prayed for my speedy recovery.”

Siddiqui announced his positive diagnosis early on Monday, taking to Instagram to share that he has “been bitten by the bug.”

“I tested positive today, thankfully with mild infection and immediately placed myself in isolation,” he assured fans and followers. “I urge all of you who came in contact with me in the last one week to get the tests done.”
