Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has been admitted to a hospital in India after being diagnosed with pneumonia, reported  Pinkvilla. The news was corroborated by Shah’s manager who told ETimes, “He has been in the hospital for two days. He’s under medical supervision. He was brought in for Pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalised immediately.” He also assured fans that Naseeruddin Shah was in a stable condition and responding well to treatment. According to reports, the actor is accompanied in the hospital by his wife actor Ratna Pathak Shah and their children. No other details about Shah’s health are known. SUKKUR: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday rejected reports submitted from the Sindh government, NICVD, and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regarding the prolonged stay of PPP MNA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah at the cardiac hospital after being declared as sub-jail, ARY NEWS reported. SUKKUR: Sindh High Court’s Circuit Bench Sukkur on Tuesday questioned PPP MNA Syed Khursheed Shah’s prolonged stay at the NICVD Sukkur, ARY News reported. “Why Khursheed Shah has been staying in hospital for a long time,” Justice Omar Sial asked a representative of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) while hearing a petition over the matter. ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi on Tuesday shared a plan for the installment of a fourth Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal in the country at Karachi’s Port Qasim, ARY NEWS reported. Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, Ali Zaidi shared that Mitsubishi company has decided to invest US$300 million for setting up the LNG terminal at the city’s port. “After Energas, Tabeer Energy(Mitsubishi) also close to finalizing their FID to set up the [fourth] LNG Terminal,” he said in his message on the micro-blogging site. The terminal will be installed at Port Qasim and the project will be completed within two years, he said adding that 90 LNG cargo ships could dock at the terminal at a time. KARACHI: Four policeman who looted cash during a raid at a milk shop along with the assistant commissioner in Karachi’s Korangi have been arrested on Monday.  The policeman along with the assistant commissioner raided a milk shop located in Korangi PNT Cooperative Housing Society last night. ISLAMABAD: As many as 16,560 healthcare workers have been infected while battling the outbreak of COVID-19 in Pakistan, quoting sources, ARY News reported Sunday. According to sources at the Ministry of National Health, so far 9,893 doctors, 2,363 nurses and 4,304 other staff of hospitals have contracted the coronavirus. While battling the deadly outbreak of COVID-19 in the country 163 healthcare workers have lost their lives, the sources said. Overall 16,111 health workers have recovered from the pandemic. Most of the  medical workers infected by the virus and deceased belong to Sindh. LARKANA: At least two people have been shot dead during an armed brawl between two rival groups in Larkana on Sunday, ARY News reported.  The brawl took place in Larkana’s Ratodero, resulting in the death of at least two people including a woman, while six including 4 women sustained bullet wounds. The situation in the area is tensed as both the groups have established their pickets to attack each other. ISLAMABAD: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has registered an indigenously-developed intensive care unit (ICU) ventilator named “i-LIVE”, ARY News reported. ISLAMABAD: The economic affairs division on Saturday shared that Pakistan has received a foreign loan of US$12.13 billion in the outgoing fiscal year, ARY NEWS reported. The monthly report of Foreign Economic Assistance released by the Economic Affairs Division shared that the country received over US$3 billion under multilateral and bilateral loans. The report highlighted that Asian Development Bank (ADB) provided the country with most of the financial assistance that amounted to US$1.28 billion. Rs417 million was received under the bilateral agreements, the EAD report said and added that US$3.6 billion loans were also given to the government by commercial banks. During the last month, the EAD in its report said that Pakistan received foreign loans amounting to US$10.19 billion during the first ten months of the outgoing fiscal year 2020-21.
