PESHAWAR: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has sought action against the responsible persons involved in projecting laser lights on aircraft around Peshawar International airport. According to details, the CAA has written a letter to the secretary of interior seeking cooperation in action against the persons involved in projecting laser lights on the aeroplanes at Bacha Khan International airport. The letter written to the interior secretary states that two incidents of projecting laser lights on the aircraft of foreign and domestic airlines were reported in the current month of June. SHC orders govt to fix price of privately imported vaccine in week

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) directed on Wednesday the federal government to fix the price of a Covid-19 vaccine imported by the private sector in a week. A two-member bench comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Amjad Ali Sahito disposed of an appeal moved by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) that challenged a single bench’s March 18 verdict. On March 18, the single bench had suspended the drug regulatory authority’s notification with regard to the withdrawal of exemption in Covid-19 vaccines import to a private pharma company. There they laid down old rifles, machetes and good-luck charms at the governor’s feet following the surprising victory of Felix Tshisekedi who was elected president after December’s elections.
