PPP, PTI team up to defeat Maulana Fazl’s son in NA-37

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi withdrew his nomination papers in favour of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate on NA-37 Dera Ismail Khan. 

Mr. Kundi, a PPP ticket holder, had submitted his papers to contest on a National Assembly seat (NA-37) in DI Khan, but later decided to step aside from the electoral contest, withdrawing his candidature.

The PPP leader said he withdrew from election race for the benefit of PTI candidate Habibullah Kundi to give a tough contest to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) candidate.

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman’s son Maulana Asad Mehmood is contesting election from NA-37.

A day earlier, the JUI-F announced its candidates for 20 National Assembly seats and 60 provincial assembly seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) directed on Wednesday the federal government to fix the price of a Covid-19 vaccine imported by the private sector in a week. The words were spoken by Mado, a hard-eyed child fighter all of 12-years-old from the deeply-feared Kamuina Nsapu militia in central Kasai region. Along with several dozen adults, the young girl marched out of the brush and into the town of Kananga, some 700 kilometres (450 miles) east of Kinshasa, where they surrendered their weapons. There they laid down old rifles, machetes and good-luck charms at the governor’s feet following the surprising victory of Felix Tshisekedi who was elected president after December’s elections. Pakistan ranked 3rd adventure travel destination for 2020

Pakistan has been awarded third place in the highest potential adventure travel destinations for the 2020s list by the British Backpacker Society. The society which aims to promote and enable adventure travel in frontier tourism markets recently released a list of top adventure travel destinations for the coming year. The rankings are based on votes from its membership of adventure travel experts from around the world.
