A bizarre incident involving a truck driver was shot on camera recently, as he drove the vehicle in reverse gear for three km after a brake failure in the Indian state of Maharashtra.  The viral video shows a truck moving in reverse gear on the road as some bikers surround it to guide the driver and help clear the traffic by warning other motorists of the situation.  The driver drove the giant vehicle in reverse for three kilometers till he spotted an open farm. He then turned the truck in the direction of the farm to get the vehicle under control. The farm’s rough surface helped the driver slow down and bring the truck to a stop. The driver with his presence of mind and help from bikers was able to avert a major road accident. The video which first surfaced online in January this year is doing rounds on social media again. It has been viewed more than 13 lakh times. MUZAFFARABAD: At least eleven people, three children among them, were killed while 13 others wounded after a passenger van fell into a ditch near Kohala early Saturday morning. According to the police, the ill-fated van was travelling from Rawalpindi to Chakothi when it met the accident. The police said those killed in the accident include three children. Expressing sadness over the loss of lives, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider summoned a report about the cause of the accident from the authorities concerned. He instructed that the injured be given the best possible medical aid. In a strange interruption during a live telecast, a reporter was forced to cut short his live shot moments after an insect could be seen crawling on his suit. The entire episode was captured on cameras as CNN reporter Manu Raju can be seen preparing to give his byte. The video shows a large insect is crawling on his suit and making its way to his neck. A ten-month-old baby girl died after she was attacked by two family dogs. The incident occurred in the US state of North Carolina. The girl’s father had gone out of a room to move a sprinkler in the backyard of the home before he heard a noise and returned to find the dogs attacking the child. A social media video has falsely claimed it is unsafe to receive blood transfusion because vaccinated people can give blood in the United Kingdom. The video (here) shows a recording of a phone call made to the NHS blood and transplant advice line. The woman making the call asks whether her friend – who she claims has received a COVID-19 vaccine but had a sore arm afterwards – can donate blood. “She was just a bit worried about giving blood…you know, how does that affect someone who has not been vaccinated if they have a blood transfusion from her, is there a problem?” she asks. ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 2,455 fresh cases of the coronavirus over the last 24 hours, pushing the tally of infections reported in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 916,239. According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the death toll climbed to 20,680 after 73 more people succumbed to the deadly virus during the same period.
