KARACHI: The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations will also remain closed in Sindh on Wednesday (today) pointing out the extent of the gas crisis in the province. It is to be mentioned here that the CNG stations in Karachi and other areas were opened four days in a period of 15 days. The households in Karachi and other parts of Sindh also facing gas shortage and the issue of low gas pressure despite the gas utility’s claims of supplying the fuel to its domestic consumers. The low pressure of gas has been reported at Karachi’s SITE, Lyari, Nazimabad, North Karachi, Landhi, Korangi and other localities. The CNG stations were supposed to reopen today, but again the closure schedule has been changed by the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC). KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 14 suspects during raids conducted at different areas of Karachi, ARY News reported. KARACHI: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has decided to jack up the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs20 per kilogram for the month of upcoming month of January, ARY News reported. Chairman LPG Distributors’ Association Irfan Khokhar has said that with the increase of Rs20 per kg, the domestic cylinder price will be up by Rs250, while the commercial cylinder will witness an increase of Rs 900. KARACHI: The trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on first day of the business week has begun on a bullish trend as the KSE-100 Index has gained 330 points, taking it to cross the level of 41,000 points, ARY News reported on Monday. MULTAN: As many as eight shelter homes have made active in Multan amid cold weather, said Deputy Commissioner Multan Shanul Haq on Monday. The DC Multan in his statement said more than 100 people living without shelters in the present cold weather have been shifted to the shelter homes. A painter fell to the ground after an elderly person in a wheelchair shook his ladder because it was blocking his path. CCTV footage captured the shocking moment when Decorator Fernández Sanchez, 46, painting the outside of a house on Boxing Day in San Martin de Porres, Lima, Peru, came tumbling down to the ground. According to the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Malir, the chained citizen was recovered from a buffalo hedge in area of Sukhan, Malir.
